The main goals of this study was to quantify potentially cyclable trips in the GTHA region, and identify areas with high versus low cycling potential using a small-scale geographical analysis. In addition, the research explored social and environmental enablers and barriers to cycling in the GTHA. This study will provide much needed context-specific insights into the regional patterns of cycling behaviour, and opportunities for growth. The analysis and findings will inform the next Regional Transportation Plan for the GTHA Region.
